A classic fish-out-of-water story about a modern young woman discovers that her world isn't always what it seems. After an uncomfortable encounter with a supernatural threat, Evangeline decides she needs to learn everything she can about the hidden world of magic and monsters. Her guide, a Thaumaturge ("NOT a wizard!") by the name of Leo, starts to gently initiate her into the Wider World of Weird, but a supernatural threat forces Evangeline to learn on her feet in a dangerous crash course of monsters, magic, and mayhem. Will she and Leo make it out alive? Neither one of them intends to go quietly, regardless of the odds against them.
